Transient Guests
Anyone traveling on Navy Funded TAD/TDY orders should make their reservations through the SATO reservations desk toll free at (800) 576-9327. Anyone traveling on any other type of orders should contact the CBH reservations desk at (504) 678-3840. Military (active or retired) members who are space available or leisure travelers can make reservations in advance if rooms are available.

CBH transient rooms include the following amenities: Cable television with VCR and or DVD, telephone service with wake-up, voicemail and internet capabilities, iron and board, alarm clock, microwave and refrigerator. Some suites and rooms have kitchens. Laundry facilities are located in most buildings and computer rooms with Internet capabilities are located in the two main buildings. Common lounges with cable television and laundry, snack and beverage vending machines are in various locations in the CBH facility. Conference/Meeting facilities are available upon request.
Permanent Party Residents
Anyone who is on Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders to NAS JRB New Orleans should check in at Bldg. 465 with a copy of their current orders.
E1–E3 single personnel are housed on a permanent basis and provided a furnished private bedroom that shares a bathroom and kitchen with one other E1–E3 member. Telephone, mailbox, cable television and high speed Internet services are available. Bicycle storage, luggage storage and laundry facilities are also available.
E4 and above personnel are not housed at Combined Bachelor Housing on a permanent basis. If available, reservations can be made for transitioning E5 and above personnel in Transient Quarters. These will be offered for a maximum of 30 days, depending on availability, at the regular room rates.
Personal Property
The Personal Property Office is responsible for the shipment, delivery and storage of household goods, unaccompanied baggage and mobile homes for Department of Defense, Coast Guard and civilian personnel residing in or transferring to 24 parishes in the state of Louisiana on travel orders. The office is located on the Naval Air Station Joint Base, 400 Russell Ave., Bldg. 31, New Orleans, LA 70143. The office hours are 0700 to 1630, Monday through Friday.
