Navy Exchange Facilities
Optical Shop: Located at the mini mart exit of the main NEX Bldg. H-100 is the optical shop. The shop has a mini lab and offers one-hour service on single vision lenses; they have a wide selection in frame styles, optical repair services and contact lenses. Prescriptions are accepted from both civilian and military doctors. Open Tues., Wed. and Fri., 0900-1730; Thurs., 0900-1830; and Sat., 0900-1400. Call (504) 678-2770, #7, for more information.
Personalized Services & Flower Shop: Located in the main Exchange in H-100, Personalized services offers money -orders, Western Union, key duplicating, laundry and dry cleaning services, gift wrapping, UPS and local New Orleans souvenirs. The flower shop has a licensed florist who can make arrangements for any occasion; weddings, change of commands, retirements and every day events. Uniform Shop: Located in the main Exchange Bldg. H-100, features military uniforms and accessories. It also has a tailoring drop off service, call (504) 678-2770, #2. The uniform shop has a red phone that will connect you directly to the -uniform support center if an item needs to be ordered. Main Exchange: The Navy Exchange is located in Bldg. H-100 at Naval Support Activity, New Orleans. It offers a wide range of retail products including; men’s women’s and children’s clothing; health and beauty items; household goods; electronics department; jewelry shop; toys and a package store mini mart. Home Center: Located in Bldg. 252 across from the NSA service station, the Home Center has garden supplies, BBQ grills and accessories, as well as furniture and home décor. Furniture may be special ordered through the NEX Virtual Home store Web site at the home center. Hours of operation are Mon. through Sat.; 0900-1800 and Sun., 1100-1800. East Bank NEX: Located at 4400 Dauphine St. Bldg. 603 in the East Bank complex of NSA New Orleans, this location has a retail outlet that offers uniform items, food, beer, soda, alcohol, tobacco products and office supplies. Services include; laundry/dry cleaning, tailoring drop offs, Western Union, Teleflora, and uniform shop. Hours of operation are Mon. through Fri. 0730-1600. Call (504) 678-6270 for more information.
The East Bank also has a cafeteria in Bldg. 602 on the second floor, which offers a full service breakfast and lunch menu. This location also offers catering services. Located in the same food court is a Subway sandwich shop. Hours of operation are Mon. through Fri. 0630-1330. Call (504) 678-7214 for more information.
Both the NSA East and West Bank facilities have service stations, which accept credit cards 24 hours a day. Normal operating hours are 1100-1700.
Belle Chasse NEX: The NEX has a branch exchange aboard NAS JRB New Orleans. The main store is located in Bldg. 300 across from the NAS JRB Credit Union. Products and services offered are; uniform shop, barber shop, coffee service, laundry, dry cleaning and tailoring services, photo finishing, Teleflora, Western Union, food sales, alcohol products, and school uniforms for Belle Chasse Academy. The NEX also recently opened a Fleet Store next to Bldg. 300 which offers household items, electronics, toys, CDs and DVDs, and much more. Hours of operation are Mon.-Sat. 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sun. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call (504) 678-3510.
The gas station at NAS JRB New -Orleans is located at Bldg. 269. The gas pumps are accessible 24 hours a day with credit cards and Citgo cash cards.
Navy Lodge: The Navy Lodge consists of 50 units and can sleep 4-5 guests. There are two handicap rooms available. All units have fully equipped kitchenettes, with air conditioning, television with VCR and private bath. Our amenities also include free in-room and lobby coffee, USA Today, free local and 1-800 calls, safety deposit boxes, cribs, high chairs, and rollaway beds. We are within walking distance of all facilities aboard NSA New Orleans. We are located in Bldg. 771 on Hebert Drive and we are open from 0600-2300. Check-in time is between 1500-1800 and credit cards are required for late arrivals. Reservations are available for PCS, TAD/TDY, leisure, reserve, foreign military, retirees, DoD civilians, and medical. COMMISSARY
Located near the Main NEX building on NSA, the commissary provides food and household goods, which are sold at cost; often at a savings of 30 percent or more off local grocery store prices. Our goal is to deliver a premier benefit to our Armed Services Communities that:
